Food, Shelter, and Hope in the Foothills

Evergreen Christian Outreach, or EChO, is a major nonprofit organization that provides essential, holistic support to individuals and families facing personal or economic adversity in the mountain communities of Jefferson and surrounding counties.

Community Backbone: EChO is strongly supported by local churches, thousands of donors, and a large force of over 300 volunteers who contribute tens of thousands of hours annually.

Mission: EChO champions people on their unique path from survival to success, meeting immediate needs and offering opportunities for long-term self-sufficiency.

Core Services: They offer a range of programs, including a client-choice Food Pantry, an emergency Overnight Shelter (seasonal), Integrative Case Management (for housing, employment, and resource navigation), and financial assistance for critical needs like rent, utilities, prescriptions, and auto repair.

The EChO ReSale Store: Their popular ReSale Store generates revenue to support EChO’s mission while providing affordable, high-quality clothing and household goods to the community. Shop with a purpose!
